WILD

Drop in LunchboxNew York, NY
http://eatdrinkwild.com/

WILD is a great new spot hidden on Hudson street in the west village. It’s all farm to table, gluten free goodness. The pizzas are fantastic, along with their salads, desserts and drinks.

These are the things I had that I recommend and know are tasty.

•Brussel sprouts four ways
•Frisse Salad
•Blood Beats
•Pear Gargonzola Pizza
•Sweet Capicola Pizza
•Flourless Chocolate Cake

Ginza Kyubey

Drop in LunchboxTokyo,
http://www.kyubey.jp/

Kyubey, is an excellent choice in the sushi department when in Tokyo. This is a high end restaurant, so you can expect to pay $150-$200 per person for this amazing decadence and craft. If you haven’t seen the documentary, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, you should see it before going to any sushi restaurant in Japan. It will change your perception and show you the craft behind the art of sushi. That said, this place you only sit at the bar, they make it right in front of you, and they keep making it until you say stop. I had the freshest and top quality fish at this place, and it was amazing. It’s one of those “when in Rome” types of places where the experience and quality blows the stereotype out of the water.

Chobani SoHo

Drop in LunchboxNew York, NY
http://www.chobani.com

Chobani yogurt is all the rage these days apparently, and they just opened a new storefront in Soho, a couple weeks ago. It’s an awesome $4 glass cup of yogurt goodness(and it’s not fro, Yo). They have about 10 different dishes on their menu, but the two I’ve had are the Peanut Butter & Jelly and the Pistachio, chocolate shavings, with sliced oranges and mint. Definite deliciousness. Stop by for a mid afternoon snack, an early dessert or a morning breaky.

Momofuku MILK Bar: Williamsburg

Drop in LunchboxBrooklyn, NY
http://milkbarstore.com/main/stores/

This little dessert bar is a hidden gem pretty much like crack. Now that they put one in 2 blocks from my house, I get sucked in to get my self some of their amazing Compost cookies. My two fave things there are the Cereal Milk soft serve, which tastes just like the milk from cereal and it takes you back to when you were a kid. The other is the compost cookies which are ridiculous. They have plenty more goodness to go around including crack pie, cake truffles, espresso shakes, etc.

TURF

Drop in LunchboxMontauk, NY
http://www.andturf.com

Came across this little hidden spot in Montauk called TURF. The young hustler who started it, Zach created it for his thesis in branding. The shack is out of a cool airstream  His lobster roll is pretty awesome, and the thing I love about it is there’s not much mayo mixed in and hit has a small kick of spice. You also get a quarter pound of lobster his delicious rolls. His watermelon salad is quite tasty on a hot summer day at the beach.

On top of the cool hidden spot, great food, and stylish airstream, a great addition to the brand personality is the little local 9 year old Sunny who may take your order if you’re there on the right day. She’s got a spunky personality, and if you’re not careful you may walk away having bought the kitchen sink.

Check out TURF’s Tumblr.
